Isobloc’s masonry units consist of two 60 mm thick blocks of solid concrete and a 120 mm thick kernel of expanded polystyrene. The blocks have a standard thickness of 240 mm (7-1/2 x 15 1/2 x 9 1/2).
The type 2 expanded polystyrene kernel is moulded with ribs and recesses so as to create a continuous insulating wall. Furthermore, the polystyrene absorbs vibrations, lending great sound proofing to the Isobloc system.
The outside is a calcite stone aggregate and is offered in eight different standard or customized colours and three finishes (smooth, split and sandy) to meet your needs.
The concrete interior finish offers a large thermal storing capacity, producing a passive heating source which contributes to lower your heating costs.
